How it works

From missed call to booked job

Here's exactly what happens, what we set up for you, and what you stay in control of.

What happens on a missed call

  1. The call goes unanswered

You're on a roof, under a sink, or it's after hours. Your phone carrier forwards only the calls you don't pick up to a number we provide. Callers hear a short greeting that says a text is on the way.

  2. A text arrives within seconds

From a local number: "Hi, this is [Your Shop]. Sorry we missed your call! What can we help you with?" It's one text per missed call, and never a second one inside 24 hours.

  3. The assistant gets the details

It asks one question at a time: what's wrong, the address, and which of your time windows works. It answers basics from the short FAQ you give us, like your service area, hours or diagnostic fee.

  4. You get a one-text lead

You receive the customer's name, number, problem, address and preferred time. Reply Y to confirm or N to call them yourself. The customer gets a confirmation from your shop's text number.

  5. Monday report

Every Monday you get a plain summary: missed calls caught, replies, leads, jobs booked, and an estimate of revenue saved at your average job value.

What we set up for you

  • A local text number for your shop.
  • Conditional call forwarding instructions for your carrier. This is usually a short dial code, and we send you the exact one. See the setup guide.
  • Your carrier registration (the A2P 10DLC process every business texting from a local number must complete). We file it for you.
  • Your FAQ, service area, hours and time windows, filled in with you on a short call or by email.

How long until it's live

Call forwarding can be switched on right away. Carrier registration usually takes about two weeks, and texts can only go out once it's approved. When you sign up we give you an expected go-live date, and we let you know the moment it is live. Your guarantee period starts on that day.

What the assistant will and won't do

It will

  • Ask about the problem, address and timing
  • Offer only the time windows you set
  • Escalate emergencies to you immediately
  • Stop replying once you've taken over

It won't

  • Confirm an appointment on its own
  • Quote a price unless it's in your FAQ
  • Invent facts about your business
  • Text a caller more than once per missed call, or after they say STOP

You can read every conversation, and you can take over any of them by texting or calling the customer yourself.

Turning it off

It's the same dial code that turned forwarding on. Cancel the subscription by email or text and we stop everything.
